Awsome Flyscreen!
Flyscreens are a hot topic in the UK, and these flyscreens fitted in Chelmsford over the summer really showcase what the product can offer – and the versatility.
First up, the ’02 Dual’ was installed elegantly across these set of patio doors. This window soaks up the late afternoon sun, and being a dining room, this client needed that protection from the heat. Patio blinds are a limited option anyway, but with Blindscreen, we can really push the limits of what’s on offer.
This flyscreen/blind combo fits the best of both words – keeping the bugs out when you need them too but taking the heat otherwise – leaving a much, much cooler room.
Blindscreen Flyscreen continued…
This particular Blindscreen setup incorporates a low profile threshold across the floor for the patio door, to reduce the bottom track of being a trip hazard. The bottom track is completely necessary and cannot be removed, so it is worth taking into consideration whether you would be fine with the option before committing to the purchase.
The ’02D’ is a dual fabric setup, with a flyscreen pulling from one side and the blackout material pulling from the other. In 2025 we expect to see the ’02DT’ to arrive, which will feature a wider bottom track and the ability to pull the fabrics from the same side, which will be hugely beneficial for bifold doors which are mostly directional openings.
With this Blindscreen, the blackout fabric soaks up as much heat as you need it too, making your room a more bearable environment.
The single-door flyscreen was fitted outside as the door opened inwards. A good thing about the Blindscreen product is that it can be fitted internally or externally – with a few caveats. It is fully weatherproof, due to the manufacturing materials used, but we recommend not installing it in high-wind open situations.
A fantastic product which this client will enjoy for years to come. A fly-free, bug-free kitchen area for them to enjoy, summer after summer.
