Shutters Burnham on Crouch
These beautiful window shutter blinds fitted into an immaculate home in Burnham on Crouch, Essex
We do love a project. We were approached by the client who had a good idea of what they desired but required a little more guidance.
When discussing installation in this instance, a ‘wrap-around wall’ frame was advised, giving the shutter frame a border. The main purpose of this border is to hide the imperfections in the wall – as we all know, no wall is ever perfectly straight. For the installation team, it means that minimal caulking products are used, giving all-round cleaner look. These frames are usually used with shallow recess windows.
For the two child bedrooms, window shutters with integrated blackout blinds were selected (wise choice!), these will offer near-pitch-black rooms, all year round. The blinds fit snugly into their own channel behind the shutter panel and just pull down when required.
As usual, a split was added to the doors to give top and bottom openings, absolutely ideal for that balance of light and privacy.
